On Sunday, October 2, 2022, the Revival Runway team held our final runway event for the year, An Afternoon Affaire. Featuring 10 Melbourne fashion brands, two accessories brands, 22 models, and over 200 guests, the event went off with nary a hitch. The featured brands were Anna Cordell, Days of Grace, Asher + Archer, Justin Tong, Aurei Lua, Novella, MalcolmPaull, Samay Collection, Orocéo Castro and Viceta Wang. Accessories consisted of headpieces from Victoria Jane Millinery and head wraps by Three Unite. Our amazing fans dressed to impress in their best fashion, wearing pieces from the featured designers, other Melbourne brands, and their own creations.
Revival Runway is a non-profit organisation that produces fashion-related content and events for independent Australian brands and designers. Everyone at Runway Revival gives their time, experience and energy free of charge to create professional opportunities for brands and emerging fashion industry talent. Revival Runway offers industry internships to fashion students and independent creatives giving them a real life experience to add to their resumes.
“At Revival Runway we work with independent Melbourne and Australian fashion brands that are aware of their social and environmental footprint and want to share their creations with consumers who match their values. Due to the competitive playing field in the fashion industry
and the impact of big global players it is difficult for local independent designers to cut through the noise to find their audience and be noticed,” says Sofie Carfi, the founder of Revival Runway.
